Getting Theo was one of the biggest decision that Sahir and I ever made. Getting married? Easy. Buying a house. Peasy. Getting Theo – thoroughly terrified. I was most skeptical because I had heard so many stories of people who had a puppy for a while and then gave them back or away within a short amount of time. I wanted to be sure that if we were getting a pup, this would not be the case for us. If we were getting a dog this furry friend would be in our lives for years to come. Would it be hard? Sure. But I figured that we could do it, what I didn’t expect was this…View Post

Less than two hours from Atlanta and right up across that state line of Georgia is the beautiful little city of Chattanooga. It’s surrounded by water and mountains and has some of the most scenic views in the south. After spending a weekend in Tennessee, I was infatuated by the small town charm. While Atlanta may be bustling, it’s also busy with traffic. Everything in Chattanooga was a walkable distance and it’s an easy walk too! The city is accommodating to pedestrians, streets are lined with talented street performers, and who can get enough of those southern manners. While you roam the city on your next trip to Chattanooga, make sure you stop by these famous Instagram spots…View Post
I remember when I was younger and I watched this couple sitting near the window seats on a flight to Europe. I I was only 8 and my mom and I had a stopover on our way to Pakistan. The couple was mesmerizing. They laughed and giggled, slept on each other’s shoulder’s and even watched a movie together. I remember thinking that one day I was going to be able to travel with my soulmate and we would be borderline sappy. Fast forward more than 20 years and I feel so blessed to be able to travel with my husband often. I’d be lying if I said it was only fun & games. Traveling can cause stress and tension in relationships if you aren’t mindful of certain things. Here are the things you should focus on before you plan your next trip with your beau…View Post
There comes a point in every millennial’s life when they realize how the time has flown by and just how old they really are. For me, it’s when I realized how old the starts of my favorite Disney Channel Original Movies are today. Disney Channel movies were the highlight of my Friday nights growing up and my friends and I would wait all month for the premier. Remember Zenon, you know, girl of the 21st century? She is 33 years old now. Do you know what that means? It means that it’s been two decades since Zenon first made our hearts go boom boom.
The nostalgia of DCOMs triggered a deep dive into what other Disney channel gems we’ve been missing out over the years. I turned to my Insta-fam to help me populate a list of the top Disney Channel Original Movies and boy did they deliver. Here is the final list…View Post
The Atlanta food scene is one of South’s most well-hidden gems. From Buford Highway to Grant Park culture runs deep and is engrained in the fiber of the city. Yes, Atlanta traffic is notoriously awful, but it’s because the city is sprawling with hustlers & go-getters from each corner ITP.
We Atlantans love our restaurants and there’s no better way to eat your way through the city than to mix it up with a few hole-in-the-wall spots and some celebrated Atlanta landmarks. Here is your go-to guide for 72 hours in the city…View Post
When you’ve been with someone for over a decade you have to be super cautious of falling victim to the “R” word. Nope, not what you thought – it’s routine. Routines enable repetition and that drives monotony. That’s why Sahir and I try to get away, even just a little, every month in the year.
I know what you are thinking. Every month? You’re crazy. I’ve got bills, school, kids and responsibilities! But before you come for my head with pitchforks, hear me out. Getaways don’t have to 5 day trips to Indonesian islands (although wouldn’t it be great if they all were?) but instead just a…View Post
I’ve always said that I love writing posts that I love to read. This time of year we are all focused on health and fitness so I know there are a lot of questions about how we can be our best selves. Instead of me sharing what I already know, I decided to partner with a professional nutritionist for expert advice on how we can use food to be our best selves. I was super-shook on some of the insight that she had and I know you guys will find this so helpful! I was so surprised at…View Post
The holiday season has come and gone and yet I’m still getting texts from friends saying thank you for the holiday card. Holiday card traditions came into play in the early 19th century and have since been regarded as a social obligation. Holiday cards were the one time a year that long-distance relatives can see pictures of their cute grandchildren and get an update on their lives. But in the age of social media and constant updates with print prices high and mail times delayed- what is even the point? Here’s why…View Post
We’ve been planning this trip to Thailand for nearly two years and even though we booked nearly 11 months ago, the trip still kinda snuck up on us. We sourced hundreds of recommendations and itineraries to find the best travel plan for us and I’m happy to share the details of my trip in hopes that it helps you prepare for one of your own…View Post
