This time of year is the perfect time to stock up on wardrobe essentials. What you need is a mix of trendy items and reliable classics and fill your wardrobe and take advantage of the epic sales this time of year. Here are some of my favorite items that I’m reaching for this time of year.
I’m absolutely in love with Sherpa right now. A few seasons ago I was reaching for Sherpa boots and now my favorite sweater from Z Supply is a teddy bear sherpa jacket. This one is super cute and the color is beautiful!
When it comes to bags, I have one rule – you don’t want to have the same one as everyone else. I was all about Kate Spade, until everyone else started wearing them. I never even got around to Michael Kors before it became a household name and don’t even get me started on Gucci right now. My favorite handbag designer right now is Rebecca Minkoff, (shop style here!). The bags are so cute, the quality is fantastic, they are functional and not everyone will have the same bag as you.
Moto boots are so in and it doesn’t get better than classic black combat boots. I’ve been on the hunt for a while and I finally think that I’ve decided to go with the original badass boots. These Dr Martens are so 90s and I am here for it. These Kendall + Kylie ones are adorable too and I love the mid-shaft height!
You always need to have a transitional dress in your wardrobe one that you can wear with wedges in the spring and a leather jacket in the fall. This floral dress is the perfect length, print and style. These others that are under $100 are perfect as well.
When you need the perfect gift, I always reach for a comfy pair of pajamas. I am loving these by PJ Salvage (these and these are so cute too! There is certainly a time for cotton pajamas and another time for silk or satin ones, but I like to keep both on hand.
It doesn’t get more basic than a white tee and I realized that while I have about 4 short sleeve ones of my own, I clearly need more. I love choosing an oversized fit and sizing up to be able to knot the shirt and wear it with jeans, a skirt or even formal trousers. I love these from Madewell which don’t shrink when you wash them and keep their shape!
It’s funny that if you hold onto things long enough they manage to come back into style. I am obsessed with these hoop earrings and while the leopard style might be a little trendy, these other hoops are absolutely perfect year-round and for every outfit.
I think I have about 20 winter sweaters and I’m a little embarrassed that I’m still shopping for them, but I can’t help it! I am obsessed with oversized sweaters and it’s a real addiction. This one is a little different because it’s a waffle knit thermal and I love these other ones from Free People too.
